From Our Clients

What people have shared with us

"My husband passed away last year, and the weeks that followed were a blur of phone calls and paperwork that I had no idea how to navigate. A friend mentioned Perpetua, and I think it is one of the most useful things I did in that period. Nattaporn came to the house, was completely calm and unhurried, and after two visits I had a folder for every category of document and knew exactly where everything was. It did not change the grief, but it removed one very large source of stress."

"My parents are in their seventies and have always been private about financial and legal matters. Getting them to agree to the Family Conversation Series was not easy at first — they were not sure they needed it. But Pimchanok has a very gentle way of approaching these things, and by the second session my parents were talking openly about things they had never mentioned to us before. We now have notes and a better sense of what exists. I would not have known how to have those conversations without this help."

"We used Perpetua for the Complete Programme after my mother-in-law, who lived with us, became seriously ill. There was a lot of paperwork — property, savings books, land title documents, old insurance policies — and we genuinely did not know what existed. Sarun spent three visits going through everything systematically. The Family Briefing they produced is clear enough that even my daughter, who is seventeen, could follow it. The one thing I wish had been slightly quicker was the timing between visits, but that was partly our schedule as much as theirs."

"I am British, have lived in Bangkok for twelve years, and my affairs are somewhat complicated — Thai property, UK financial accounts, documents in both languages. I booked the Inventory Session without being sure it would be enough, and it genuinely was. Nattaporn was completely at ease with the mixed-language situation, and the inventory she produced is bilingual and clear. I came away feeling more settled than I had in years about this area of my life."

"My father is 78 and quite traditional about paperwork — he keeps everything in boxes in his study and has always resisted any help. We were surprised that he agreed to meet with Perpetua at all, but I think the way they described the service — calm, no pressure, purely organisational — made it feel safe rather than intrusive. He and Sarun spent a morning together, and my father afterwards said it was "sensible." For him, that is high praise. The inventory they produced is now in the drawer where it will be found."

"We used the Family Conversation Series after our parents told us they were thinking about selling the family property. None of us had ever sat down to talk about this kind of thing before — it always felt awkward or premature. The sessions gave us a structure that made it easier. We came out of it with a shared record of what everyone wanted and what documents existed. There is still plenty to sort through formally, but at least now we are starting from the same place."

In More Detail

Three household stories

Names and identifying details have been changed to protect privacy.

Case Study One — Personal Records Inventory Session

A retired couple preparing ahead of time

The situation

A couple in their mid-sixties living in Silom had accumulated forty years of paperwork across two properties, three savings institutions, and several insurance policies. They did not need help organising everything — they simply wanted a clear record that their adult children could use if needed. Neither child lived in Bangkok.

What we did

A single half-day visit to the couple's home. We worked through each category of document with them, noting location and a brief description. By the end of the session, a printed inventory covered every significant item. We also pointed them to the relevant land department and insurance authority resources for a few older policies they were uncertain about.

What changed

The couple sent their children a scanned copy of the inventory. Both children said it was reassuring to know the document existed. The couple themselves said they felt the matter was "settled" in a way it had not been before. The whole engagement took one morning and four weeks of intermittent email follow-up to complete the printed version.

"We had been meaning to do this for several years. Now it is done, and we feel considerably calmer about it."

Case Study Two — Complete Estate Records Programme

An adult daughter helping her widowed mother

The situation

A woman in her late forties, working in Asoke, had taken on responsibility for her 71-year-old mother's affairs after her father passed away the previous year. The estate had involved significant difficulty finding documents. She wanted to ensure the same would not happen for her mother's situation.

What we did

Four visits over six weeks. We reviewed the mother's full household archive — property, savings, vehicle, insurance, and personal documents — and worked with both mother and daughter to understand what each item was and where it fitted. The Family Briefing was written in both Thai and English so that the daughter could share it with her Australian-resident siblings.

What changed

The daughter said the engagement removed a background worry she had carried for over a year. The mother, initially uncertain, said she felt proud that her affairs were now in good order. Three of her documents were flagged as requiring formal updates; we provided specific signposting to the relevant offices for each one.

"I had dreaded starting this. The Perpetua team made it feel manageable — and even, at times, quite satisfying."
